Using PHD

"Nothing great in the world has been achieved without passion" - a quote I read in yesterday's papers. It got me sitting up!

For I so believe in passion myself, or being passionate about the things that we do!

A friend of mine told me once last time - that he puts a PHD behind his name. He said that no, that the PHD didn't come from a university. Instead it was his tagline of passion, hardwork and determination.

How true it is! Ive seen many great friends who have a decent happy life today just by applying these tools.

It's quite a contrast to some of my friends who seem to complain about their jobs - the same jobs that my friends who applies the PHD seems so proud of!:)

I salute my friends who applies the PHD in their lives - and if you guys are reading this, well done! And thank you for showing me life!

Recognising. Embracing. Celebrating MALAYSIA

That's the theme I've chosen that for my upcoming project, The Malaysia Page :)

It didn't take me very long to decide on the theme for the site.
For Malaysia, what we really need is first to recognise/ be recognised for our own strenghts.

And next, is to gladly embrace what we have - with wide open arms. Just fully accepting ourselves or to be accepted by the rest.

Once those are done, it is to finally celebrate and enjoy all of our goodness, especially so in this 'Golden Year of Celebrations'.

I hope that this next project of mine continues to inspire, and again, in a way, this is a gift for my homecountry, Malaysia. :)

Painting The Town... BLUE

Haha... ok, just being a lil excited here! :) For after some more hard work, deep passion and if I can humbly add, determination, this Special Limited Edition: Edition s BLUE is finally released! :)

Very happy to feature messages from Prominent Malaysian Leaders. Also, there is a story behind this chosen cover of the butterflies: firstly the butterflies are closely related to Malaysian batik. But, at the same time, it's in line with the spirit of 'Malaysia Boleh' (Malaysia Can)!

As much as the first edition meant so much to me, this book is no less meaningful - and it adds on to the wonderful and colourful life experience :)

Thank you guys for all the support we've gotten so far.
I hope that this new edition will continue our works of promoting the beautiful Batik Malaysia to a worldwide audience.

Building A Strong Foundation

About a week back, I chanced to eat at a shop of a friend. A rather new shop, he was complaining that at the initial stages (or days), he just felt like closing shop, as there were not many customers.

Sometimes, it may seem like these shops just had instant success! (But in reality, alot of food outlets/ businesses I know that take time to build its customer base). These are not overnight success. More importantly, these help build a stronger foundation for continuity of success.

In the last 1.5 years in business, I've been involved in quite a few new things and I myself admit that I've felt the going tough as well. But over the period, I've realised that it's ok to be so and to gradually build my dreams :) I thank my family and friends for such understanding, and their strong support.

So, as I embark on new territories again, I know it's again part of my foundation building process in living my dreams :)

Ways To Care

Recently I was met an acquintance and mentioned to her that she looked a little bit stressed. She agreed and wondered how I could see it through her.

And when she related her problems that whatever she does doesn't seem to be good enough , I just told her to actually be happy herself first, and then others will feel her happiness because only then, her giving will be 'full'... just like giving when the heart is full of joy!

Then just a few days later, I too was told by a friend to actually look into things for myself first ie. to care for my ownself. He related something similar to what I've told the acquintance.

The idea is not about being selfish, but when we care enough for ourselves, we will hence be happy within.. and these will lead to actions that will in turn make others around us happy as well because then when we give, we give unconditionally.
